IDF_TANKERNow I'm a little surprised by this.

May I ask why?

blacklabMay I ask why?

Well for once seems a little outdated for a modern western country especially a firearms producer like Belgium. No one uses Uzi's in Israel anymore for quite a few years now. That and political aspect.

IDF_TANKERWell for once seems a little outdated for a modern western country especially a firearms producer like Belgium. No one uses Uzi's in Israel anymore for quite a few years now. That and political aspect.

Well the Uzi was produced under licence in Belgium by FN and many were made. IIRC most Uzis sold on the European market were actually assembled by FN not IMI. Its in widespread use among Belgian police but is slowly being replaced by more modern SMGs like Steyr AUG 9mm H&K MP5 and UMP (P90 due to its caliber is restricted to special units).
