A Marine with Law Enforcement Detachment 26th Marine
Expeditionary Unit has his military working dog search a landing zone as
part of a simulated raid aboard Fort Pickett Va. April 16 2015. Marines
simulated a raid on a Military Operations in Urban Terrain town as part
of their Realistic Urban Training. During the training Marines were
tasked with clearing the objective building as well as detaining

A Marine and his military working dog look toward a Military
Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training town prior to conducting a
simulated raid takes place aboard Fort Pickett Va. April 16 2016. During
the raid the handler and dog were utilized as a search asset for the
simulated landing zone. Dog handlers and their military working dogs are
used in many combat situations whether that is clearing an area
suspected of Improvised Explosive Devices or pursuing an enemy.
