LEMOORE Calif. (April 14 2015) Two F-35C Lightning II aircraft fly in formation over the Sierra Nevada mountain range with to two F/A-18E/F Super Hornets from Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore. The flight is part of a six-day visit by the Grim Reapers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 101 to NAS Lemoore the future basing site for the F-35C. ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 15 2015) Lt. Aaron Venturini performs pre-flight checks on an SH-60 Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Vipers of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 48 Detachment Three embarked aboard Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) flagship USS Vicksburg (CG 69). Vicksburg is operating in the Atlantic participating in Joint Warrior Europe's largest multinational multi-warfare exercise. Three of NATO's Standing Naval Forces Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 and Standing NATO Maritime Mine Counter Measures Groups 1 and 2 are participating in Joint Warrior with 55 warships and submarines and 70 air assets from Allied countries. In total the exercise involves approximately 14000 personnel training and operating together to develop specific war fighting skills through diverse training and credible scenario development.
